Project Story
Tidewater Finance Company had data and documents in 7+ different repositories with no ability to do a federated search. This presented a significant challenge with the amount of time associated to locate a document especially since there was no uniform way of tagging metadata. Tidewater Finance Company was also interacting with thousands of vendors and attorneys via hard-copy mail, so they needed an external portal to pass data back and forth.
Project Highlights
In the process of migrating Tidewater Finance’s content to the cloud DOMA employed the following AWS Migration tools and services:
- AWS Connector for VMWare
- AWS Server Migration Service
- AWS Direct Connect
- AWS Command Line Interface (CLI)
- AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) with redundant subnets
- AWS Security Groups to restrict/allow certain access
- AWS Identity Access Management (IAM)
Final Outcome
DOMA migrated gigabytes of content from their legacy electronic storage applications into the DOMA DX Cloud software solution. DOMA replicated and migrated Tidewater’s MS SQL databases and 1.4 TB of data to AWS S3; completed with little to no downtime for customers.
Today 6 departments within Tidewater Finance utilize DOMA’s technology. Tidewater Finance is now able to search across all customer content, in a matter of seconds.
